Tender Care Village
We are a group of proactive men and women, 50 and older, who want to change the image of aging in our Tri- City community. We understand that the limited care options available to us as we age are not only costly but could mean having to leave our homes and neighborhoods.
A Tender Care Village membership is an insurance policy for successful aging, that allows you to stay in your own home and neighborhood. No need to burden family and friends with simple non-medical tasks a screened volunteer will happily accomplish. Need a ride to the doctor or grocery store, help with light home maintenance or repair, snow shoveling, companionship or assistance with pets? Tender Care Village is the answer, one call does it all.
Tender Care Village members choose the services and activities they need to enable them to stay in their homes. Many members are also volunteers and committee chairpersons that help to guide Tender Care Village as it grows.

New nonprofit pairs seniors, volunteers to enable elderly to remain home longer
Tender Care Village’s mission is to enable as many Tri-City area residents as possible to age at home comfortably, affordably, safely, independently and with peace of mind through a membership-based organization offering access to comprehensive practical services and fostering social support and a sense of community.
Tender Care Village is an all-volunteer village with no paid staff. Our vision is to remain an all-volunteer village to retain an affordable membership fee while always maintaining a quality volunteer team to provide great service to our members.
Tender Care Village currently has a 4-member Board of Directors, President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. This governing council will be the decision-making and coordinating body for Tender Care Village. Significant decisions made by the Governing Council will be shared with the Tender Care Village community for commentary and feedback. The Governing Council then pulls together the skills and expertise of volunteers who make up the various committees to accomplish the work of sustaining the Village.
