After 5 1/2 years of building and offering services, Tender Care Village will be dissolving as of August 31st, 2020.
COVID-19 constraints have adversely affected our ability to continue operating.
We thank all of you in our community who have supported us and we hope we have proven with a little extra help, its affordable, comfortable and safe to age in our own homes and neighborhoods.
Tender Care Village is a local initiative founded on the principles of the nationwide village movement and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, membership-driven, grass-roots organization run by members, volunteers and volunteer staff. It’s a Plan not a Place. Our goal is to empower as many Tri-City area residents to age at home affordably, comfortably, safely, independently, and with peace of mind for as long as possible.
To carry out our mission we will offer non-medical services and the social programs necessary to help our members stay in their own homes with the help of trained/screened volunteers and professional providers.
Tender Care Village offers a diverse list of services, chosen by its members and provided by volunteers. A few examples include, transportation to appointments, assistance with grocery shopping or other errands, simple home maintenance tasks, computer assistance, seasonal yard work and daily phone check-ins or a weekly friendly visit.
